About CannabisKentucky.org

Free, comprehensive, and evidence-based cannabis education for Kentuckians. No product sales. No advertising. No affiliate links. Just facts.

Our Mission

CannabisKentucky.org exists to provide accurate, educational cannabis information for Kentucky residents, patients, visitors, and anyone interested in understanding the Bluegrass State's cannabis landscape. We cover Kentucky law, the SB 47 medical program, dispensaries, hemp heritage, criminal penalties, the state's unique history with cannabis cultivation, and the reform efforts shaping the Commonwealth's future.

What We Do

  • Explain the law — Plain-language guides to Kentucky cannabis statutes, criminal penalties, and the distinction between medical and recreational possession
  • Cover the medical program — Comprehensive information on patient registration, qualifying conditions, dispensary locations, and program rules under SB 47
  • Document Kentucky's history — The Cornbread Mafia, Appalachian eradication campaigns, the tobacco-to-cannabis transition, and the opioid crisis connection
  • Track reform — Legislative history, polling data, advocacy organizations, and pending bills
  • Explain hemp — Kentucky's deep hemp heritage and the current regulatory landscape for hemp-derived products

What We Don't Do

  • We do not sell cannabis — We are an educational resource, not a retailer or delivery service
  • We do not accept advertising — No dispensary ads, no product placements, no sponsored content
  • We do not use affiliate links — We have no financial relationship with any cannabis business
  • We do not provide legal advice — Our content is informational. Consult a qualified attorney for legal questions
  • We do not provide medical advice — Consult a healthcare provider for medical cannabis questions
